Lucuma powder comes from the dried and ground fruits of the lucuma tree (Pouteria lucuma) which grows in the Andean region. The fruit was given the nickname "Gold of the Incas". An ideal substitute for other sweeteners, it has a low glycemic index and a delicious taste. It contains naturally occurring sugars and B-perfects, minerals and phytonutrients. Purasana lucuma powder comes from low-temperature dried fruit and is not subjected to any chemical treatment.
