Epsom Salt Flush — Laura Humphreys Health

Origin

Epsom salt is a salt very different from sea salt or table salt, it is essentially composed of magnesium sulphate. Originally, Dr. Mayr made his patients drink water from local sources (Karlsbad in the Czech Republic) to clean the intestines.

Epsom salt was discovered in Epsom, a town in England where it was discovered in 1618, a mineral source that was rich in minerals and especially magnesium sulphate. Subsequently, Epsom had become the first spa in England, where people from all over the country came to drink the waters and enjoy their benefits. At the time, Epsom salt was mainly used as purgative due to its laxative properties. In order to obtain the much-desired salt, it was sufficient to allow the evaporation of the water. Even though consumers did not know the precise properties of this salt, they had noticed its health benefits.

Today, Epsom salt is extracted from a carbon sedimentary rock: plenom that belongs to the family of salts. It is obtained after purification, from natural minerals originating from underground deposits and used in different therapeutic and cosmetic ways.

Today, this salt is obtained from magnesium hydrates.
